phlepitis in horse

this case is very rare it's the first time to see it doctor inject irritant drug in the neck and in the jugular vein lead to heamatoma the animal rab itself leading to opening of the skin and oozing of blood the owner say large amount and then doctor suture the resulted wound but after few hrs it returns back bleed he suture it again but the site was enlarged and the neck till the mandible

sure there is no cut in jugular vein but there is phlebitis and inflammation in the surrounding tissue

removal of suture material to detect the source of bleeding ,widening of the wound edges and washing with normal saline, removal of clotted blood , detection the source of bleeding and suture it then suturing of the wall

and finally after the anasthesia removed the bleeding occur after suturing that reveals that the blood pressure was low during anasethia then the operation done again with detection of another source of bleeding

  1. I HAVE A BLOOD CLOTTING DISORDER AND, IN ADDITION TO 5 DVTs OVER THE LAST 24 YEARS, I HAVE ALSO SUFFERED FROM NUMEROUS (MORE THAN 20) BOUTS OF PHLEBITIS AND, ON ONE OCCASSION, I WAS TOLD I ALSO HAD CELLULITIS TOGETHER WITH THE PHLEBITIS. THIS POOR HORSE SEEMS TO ALSO BE SUFFERING FROM BOTH PHLEBITIS AND CELLULITIS.
